Who We Are

Vision

We are committed to eliminating obstacles that keep people from coming to God, in line with the message of Acts 15:19.

Mission

Our mission is to lead lost people to Christ, welcome those returning to Him, and inspire everyone to live fully for Jesus, all while serving and growing together at Marpole Baptist Church.

Motive

Driven by love, we strive to follow Christ’s command to love others as He has loved us.

Strategy

Our strategy is focused on being intentional, outward-facing, and connecting people to small groups to foster meaningful relationships, spiritual growth, and community impact.

Values

Love-driven and radical generosity, and intimacy with God. These values reflect what matters most to us.

What We Believe

About the Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inspired, error-free Word of God, written by men moved by the Holy Spirit.

About God

We believe in one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus, the Son, became human to reveal God and save the world.

About Humanity

We believe all people were created to fellowship with God but became separated through sin. As a result, we cannot restore that relationship on our own.

About Salvation

We believe Jesus' death on the cross provides forgiveness for sin. Salvation is freely offered to all who place their faith in His death and resurrection.

About the Christian Life

We believe Christians should live for Christ, not themselves. By obeying God’s Word and yielding to the Holy Spirit, believers should grow and become more like Christ.

About the Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, with Jesus as the head. The church's purpose is to glorify God by loving Him and sharing the Gospel with the world.
